CASSOPOLIS, Mich. – Jenna Lemon, a junior at Ross Beatty High School in Cassopolis, has been selected as Midwest Energy & Communications’ (MEC) delegate to the 2025 National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Youth Tour. She was chosen based on her application and her academic and extracurricular achievements.

From June 18 to 23, Jenna will explore Washington, D.C. alongside students representing electric cooperatives from across the United States. Highlights of the trip include visits to monuments and nationally significant sites, as well as opportunities to meet elected officials.

NRECA Youth Tour is an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. organized by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The trip allows students to experience our nation’s capital, learn firsthand about our government and the history of electric cooperatives in America, and make friends with other students from across the country.

Upon returning, Jenna will give a brief presentation to the MEC board of directors about her trip.
