ACP Ends in April 2024

For customers who currently receive the ACP internet discount on their bill: The FCC may end the ACP due to a lack of federal funding. Congress may still approve funding to continue the program. However, we must be prepared for the program to end.

Your Options

  • Keep Current Package and Pay Full Rate: Our packages are 100 Mbps for $65/mo., 1 Gbps for $100/mo., or 5 Gbps for $200/mo. If you wish to keep your current package, you do not need to take any action. We will begin billing you the full rate for May. Please note that we bill ahead, so scroll down for billing information. Your current terms and conditions of service will continue to apply and can be viewed here. 
  • Change Your Package and Pay Full Rate of the New Package: You can downgrade your package if you are on Gig or higher.  Our packages are 100 Mbps for $65/mo., 1 Gbps for $100/mo., or 5 Gbps for $200/mo. We will begin billing you the full rate for May. Please note that we bill ahead, so scroll down for billing information. Your current terms and conditions of service will continue to apply and can be viewed here. 
  • Terminate Service: Last day of service will be April 30. 

Please let us know if you want to change your package or terminate service

If you wish to keep your current package, you do not need to take any action. If you wish to make a change, please log into SmartHub or give us a call at 800.492.5989. 

Billing Info

The tentative last day for the ACP is April 30, and that will be your last day of service if you choose to terminate MEC internet due to the ACP ending. If you keep MEC internet, here is the impact on your bill.

You Get Your Bill On:

  • The 7th Day of the Month: Your March 7 bill will reflect service for April 1-30 and will receive the full ACP benefit. Your April 7 bill will reflect service for May 1 - 30. This bill will be at the full rate and will not have any ACP benefit. 
  • The 14th day of the month: Your February 14 bill will reflect service for March 8 - April 7 and will receive the ACP benefit. Your March 14 bill will reflect service for April 8 - May 7. It will be partially funded by the ACP and then prorated at the full amount for service starting May 1.
  • The 21st day of the month: Your February 21 bill will reflect service for March 15 - April 14 and will receive the ACP benefit. Your March 21 bill will reflect service for April 15 - May 14. It will be partially funded by the ACP and then prorated at the full amount for service starting May 1.
  • The 28th day of the month: Your February 28 bill will reflect service for March 22 - April 21 and will receive the ACP benefit. Your March 28 bill will reflect service for April 22 - May 21. It will be partially funded by the ACP and then prorated at the full amount for service starting May 1.
